This position collaborates closely with multiple departments to balance production capacity, material availability, and customer priorities. The Production Scheduler monitors production progress, identifies scheduling constraints, and proactively adjusts schedules to maximize productivity and on-time delivery while supporting company objectives.Essential Functions include the following:Develop, maintain, and communicate daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, material availability, and production prioritiesCoordinate production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and resource utilizationReview customer orders, engineering changes, and production requirements to establish realistic production timelinesMonitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address material shortages, labor constraints, equipment downtime, engineering changes, or shifting customer prioritiesCollaborate with Purchasing and Inventory Control to ensure materials and components are available to support scheduled productionWork closely with Supervisors to identify production bottlenecks and implement scheduling adjustments to improve throughputMaintain accurate production schedules within the company's computer systemAnalyze production capacity and recommend schedule modifications to optimize equipment utilization and labor efficiencyTrack key performance indicators including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and work order completion. Will also be responsible for supporting improvements in:On-Time DeliveryWork Order CompletionManufacturing ThroughputInventory TurnsSchedule StabilityMaterial AvailabilityERP Data AccuracyIdentify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, workflow efficiency, ERP utilization, inventory management and cross-functional communication through continuous improvement initiativesEnsure scheduling practices comply with company procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirementsParticipate in production meetings and provide schedule status updatesSupport ERP data accuracy by identifying scheduling discrepancies and working with appropriate departments to correct data issuesCoordinate implementation of Engineering Change Orders into production schedules while minimizing disruptionEscalate material shortages, capacity constraints, engineering delays, and other issues that could impact customer delivery commitmentsMaintain schedule integrity by ensuring production priorities are accurately reflected within the ERP system and communicated to all effected departmentsWork with Production, Purchasing, Inventory/Document Control, and Customer Service to proactively identify risks and resolve scheduling conflictsOther duties as requiredSupervisory ResponsibilityPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkRequired Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field is preferredMinimum 2 years of production scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing coordination experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in electronics manufacturing is preferredExperience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, or production planning techniques is preferredDemonstrated experience utilizing ERP systems to manage production scheduling, work orders, material planning, and production reportingAbility to communicate scheduling priorities and production risks in a professional and timely mannerProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a teamStrong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy#J-18808-Ljbffr
