As a Maintenance Worker I with our Parks team, you will be performing a variety of tasks to ensure the city parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities are well-kept and safe for public use including:

• Mowing, weeding, trimming, and landscaping
• Assisting with repairs to park structures, benches, and equipment
• Inspecting and cleaning facilities as well as collecting and disposing of litter/trash
• Performing event setup and takedown
• Preparing athletic fields for games
• Helping with snow removal and providing support to the other Public Works teams as needed

Qualifications and skills needed:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic, good attitude, and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain regular and dependable attendance

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Labor Day to Memorial Day) and from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
