Nature of Work

Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products to job sites. Operate construction equipment and vehicles. Responsible for general warehouse maintenance and other housekeeping duties as required by Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Record inventory changes.
• Work with delivery driver to coordinate the transport of stored items from warehouse to plant or pick-up items from several locations for shipment.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Deliver damaged tools for repair, minor equipment tool repairs
• Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience

• Six months to one year or more of related work experience required.

Scope

• Responsible for own work only; some direct or indirect control over expenses and revenue generation; may make some budgetary recommendations; accountable for results of own work.

Physical Demands

• Physical demands for this position are very heavy. The work requires considerable strenuous physical activity such as frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects (75+ pounds) and the use of transportation equipment.

Work Environment

• Standard warehouse / project site environment that may include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.
• Ability to work in weather related elements.
