D&W Fine Pack, a Mid Oaks Investments portfolio company, provides a wide range of products serving the food service and food packaging industry. We have an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler 1, 3rd Shift . In this function you will move material throughout the plant and warehouse manually or by operating electric powered liftsRESPONSIBILITIES•Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines•Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.•Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required•Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures•Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately•Actively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.•Move stock and other materials to and from storage and production areas by hand or other equipment•Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needs•Ability to hand build pallets per MO•Attach identifying labels to containers, and/or mark them with identifying information•Secure material and products for transport to designated areas by using the stretch-wrapper machine •Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested•Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP's•Supports the Plant's Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.BENEFITSWe offer a competitive salary & comprehensive benefit package which includes:•Medical•Dental•Vision•Wellness program•401K with company match•STD/LTD•Company paid Life Insurance•FSA (Medical & Dependent care)•Employee Assistance Program•Plus more!Starting Pay: Range based on experience $20.00-$24.00Shift Differential: $1.25 for 2nd & 3rd shiftSign-On Bonus: $750 Referral Bonus: $1,000 Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
