The Data Warehouse Manager is responsible for the growth and development of the Data Warehouse team, including developers, BA/QA, and support staff. Responsibilities include holding regular one-on-one meetings to maintain communication, provide feedback, and assist in goal setting. Oversees creation, scheduling, and development of training processes for new employees.

Oversees department's shared mailboxes and work by directing others on task creation, work distribution, and communication with users. Manages data warehouse processes, works with business partners to transition processes or reports, and solves problems or answers questions from end-users. Designs, develops, and documents processes to support the Data Warehouse as needed.

This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE, with a hybrid work schedule requiring 50% in-office presence. Sponsorship for employment visa status is not available for this position.

What will you do?

  • Supervise Data Warehouse team members, providing guidance on technical and non-technical topics, and collaborating with other managers to evaluate performance and growth opportunities.
  • Communicate with external vendors, regulatory bodies, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, underwriters, managers, and programmers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Manage personnel activities, including work procedures, instructions, problem resolution, and support for employees.
  • Oversee data feeds and reports, analyze reporting processes, and identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Required knowledge (to be specified)
  • Experience with Data Warehouses, Data Marts, etc.
  • Understanding of finance, business, statistics, and insurance principles
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Experience with data manipulation software
  • Relevant certifications in software, database, or project management
  • Knowledge of insurance coverages, rating schemes, and products
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure (DevOps, Data Studio, etc.)
