This position reports to the Plant Manager at our Liberty Packaging location in Omaha, Nebraska, and involves overseeing multi-site warehousing and transportation operations.

Responsibilities

1. Lead a team across multiple decentralized warehousing & shipping operations, developing strategies to enhance efficiency, process alignment, and continuous improvement.
2. Collaborate with site leadership and EHS teams to drive safety initiatives towards zero incidents, using trend data to focus efforts.
3. Develop standard work procedures for warehouses, shipping, manufacturing, and ERP technology, ensuring staff training and technology optimization.
4. Manage freight performance, optimize shipping lanes, and monitor carrier and internal shipping performance against KPIs.
5. Coordinate with sales, operations, and scheduling teams to meet or exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery and quality.
6. Maintain accurate inventory records, oversee cycle counts, and manage inventory controls and resolutions.
7. Develop and manage budgets, prepare variance reports, and control expenditures to meet financial targets.
8. Lead talent development initiatives, including performance management, coaching, and employee engagement.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, engineering, or related field, plus 4+ years' warehouse/distribution management experience, or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience leading transportation/logistics teams.
• Experience with freight or fleet management and budget preparation.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with industry-specific software (Amtech, JD Edwards, etc.).
• Background in the corrugated or packaging industry.
• Experience presenting to senior leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $93,840 - $117,300 annually, with potential bonuses. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k), profit sharing, tuition assistance, wellness resources, and more.
