Description: Reports To: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dishwashing: Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using dishwashers or by hand as needed.
Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash, recycling, and compost, and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
Supply Management: Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in their appropriate areas, ensuring that they are readily available for use.
Maintenance: Monitor the functionality of dishwashing machines and report any issues to the kitchen manager.
Food Prep Support: Assist with basic food prep tasks like peeling, chopping, and washing vegetables when required.
Safety and Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
Company Policies: Adhere to all company guidelines and policies as outlined in the employee handbook, including health standards, conduct, and safety procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be observant to any safety concerns in your work area.
Maintain superior attendance and punctuality.
Wear slip-resistant shoes and follow all safety guidelines.
Assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays are preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment: High-paced kitchen with moderate to high noise levels. Exposure to wet slippery surfaces and sharp objects.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, and teamwork.
Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not required.
