Job Title: Medical Device Assembly Technician

$21-23/hr for qualified candidate

Job Description

Join a fast-paced startup environment that manufactures lifesaving medical devices for hospitals. The main product being assembled is a chest blood pump used in surgeries. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling disposable medical supplies, primarily plastic components, as part of an interdisciplinary team. This is a position focusing on simple assembly tasks such as gluing, cutting, inserting tubes, and labeling. Need experience with documentation/paperwork because this is for the medical field.

Responsibilities

• Assemble disposable medical supplies, primarily plastic components.

• Complete extensive paperwork to ensure product traceability and functionality for hospitals.

• Perform simple assembly tasks such as gluing, cutting, inserting tubes, and labeling.

• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient assembly process.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience with small hand assemblies, including screwing small objects, gluing, or soldering.

• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Attention to detail and precision in performing assembly tasks.

• Strong communication skills for completing required paperwork.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly and using hand tools.

• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Assembly Technicians work in a clean room environment requiring a hairnet, gown, and specific shoes. The work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm every other Friday. All Friday hours are mandatory and paid as overtime, resulting in 36 regular hours per week plus 5 hours of overtime every other week.
