Description:

Summary:Assist in the construction, maintenance, and operation activities involving the District¿s street light responsibilities.Responsibilities:Assist in the Construction, and maintain the District¿s streetlight responsibilities¿ Assist in the construction, maintenance and operation of all of the District¿s streetlight responsibilities in a manner that ensures a high level of customer service, system reliability and employee safety¿ Responsible for performing assigned construction and maintenance activities in accordance with the District¿s construction standards.¿ Complete work to restore streetlight outages, conduct inspections, repair/replace conductors and cables, repair structures dead-at-base, repair fixtures on-line or in the shop, maintain POL¿s, and locate faults.¿ Must ensure that job-sites are maintained in an orderly fashion with a high regard for private property and public and public safety.¿ Operate construction equipment including, reach trucks, pole trucks and other equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic tools and various hand tools.QualificationsRequired:Requires an Associate¿s Degree from an accredited utility line program, utility line certification/diploma or equivalent, or must have completed an accredited line apprenticeship program.Must have a Class A Commercial Driver¿s LicenseRequired to pass a pre­-employment physical capability test.Must have good communications and customer service skills.Must live within a 35-mile radius of Center/Area OfficeClosing StatementSalary:$37.09Local 763At Omaha Public Power District , we¿re passionate about three things: power, the people who make it, and the people who rely on it.WE ARE: Where the Light Starts.
