**Responsibilities**

**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**

1. **Assumes responsibility for the Environment of Care (EOC), Life (Fire) Safety (LS)and Emergency Management (EM) programs at assigned facilities**

2. **Maintains inspection records and findings for EOC, LS and EM programs; provides suggestions for improvement to all programs**

3. **Leads assigned facilities Safety (EOC) and EM Committees; schedules and leads meetings; maintains appropriate documentation**

4. **Leads in-house training with leadership and employees about environmental health and safety issues**

5. **Carries out environmental safety accident investigations on site and produces subsequent reports and recommendations to appropriate leadership**

6. **Plans practical and effective methods of promoting health and environmental safety and safe working practices**

7. **Functions as a liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations**

8. **Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs and continuing educations programs.**

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Bachelors Degree in Environmental Safety, Emergency Management, or related field OR- three years of equivalent experience in the field

**Required Licensure and Certifications**

None Required

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of safety strategies; excellent time management and communication skills; ability to present complex issues in understandable manner; fluent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED Qualifications

CHSP; CHEP

**Pay Range**

$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
